Curphew Has Been Imposed In Garrison City Rawalpindi








Authorities clamped a curphew in Rawalpindi at Friday Misnight in the wake of sectarian clashes, which killled 10 people and left 37 other wounded. According to spokesman of Punjab government, curphew has been imposed in the garrison city to control rense situation. The curphew will remain effective untill situation returns to normal. The curphew was imposed on the request of Commissioner Rawalpindi in the wake of violent clashes between the two rival groups. Tension began when Muharram procession allegedly came under fire at Raja Bazar. Following the firing some enraged people set many shops on fire and pelted stones on security forces. Demonstrators not only stopped firebrigade vehicles but they also clashed with the police. the army was called into to control the siuation. Traders Union Rawalpindi has announced to keep the markets closed on Satureday against fRiday's unrest. Punjab chief minister took serious notice of the situation and asked the authorities to take strict sction against the culprits.
