Britain is being invaded by swarms of flying ants so large they can be seen from space. Weather experts were shocked when a satellite image showed a hoard of insects spreading 350 miles over the South coast of England and the plague of pests was s large that the Met Office mistook them for rain clouds. BBC Weather presenter and meteorologist Simon King wrote on Twitter alongside a video of the radar readings: "Flying ants!!! Swarms of them flying into the sky in S Eng are being picked up as rain on the radar image this morning...!" A Met Office spokesperson said the ants showed up on their image as a showers of rain because "the radar thinks the beams are hitting raindrops not ants".

wife of dubai Ruler fled to Europe along with two children

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and one of the world’s richest men at the moment, has penned an angry poem aimed at his runaway wife and the treachery and betrayal she has put him through. Rumour has it that Princess Haya bint Al Hussein – daughter of the late King of Jordan and sister of the current king – has run off to Europe with her children, son Zayed, 7, and daughter Al Jalila, 11. As per reports, she has sought asylum in either Germany or the UK but she is currently residing at a secret location in the latter. Inevitably, Haya’s decision to flee the UAE will draw comparisons with Bin Rashid’s daughter, Princess Shiekha Latifa, who also tried to run away from Dubai last year. Shiekha did manage to leave her country but was intercepted at sea near India and eventually, returned to her father. She had also previously recorded a YouTube video criticising her father and the restrictions she lived under.
Bin Rashid, 69, is known all over the Middle East for his poetry. The new poem appears to be a message from the prince to Haya and her decision to abscond with their son and daughter. According to him, what she has done is awful. Entitled You Lived and You Died, the poem is a furious meditation on betrayal, wherein Bin Rashid accuses the unnamed subject saying, “You betrayer, you betrayed the most precious trust, and your game has been revealed. Your days of lying are over and it doesn’t matter what we were and what you are.” Bin Rashid is also known for his love for horses and the new verses are rich in equine imagery. In one section, he writes, “You let the reins on your horse go free.” Here’s hoping the Prince gets some closure soon!

Two Women Killed Over Witchcraft allegation In India

An Indian mother and daughter were hacked to death by three men over allegations of witchcraft in the country’s remote tribal-dominated east, police said on Saturday. The 50-year-old woman and her young daughter were beaten by their neighbours before being attacked with knives on Wednesday night in West Singhbhum district in Jharkhand state. Police said the victims’ family was embroiled in a land dispute with one of the accused, who used black magic allegations as a cover-up to commit the crime. “One of the accused told the villagers that the women were witches and responsible for deaths and diseases in the village. They attacked the women in the night and killed them brutally,” district police chief Indrajit Mahatha said. The woman’s husband filed a complaint against the accused who are on the run, he said. More than 2,000 people — many of them women — were killed in India on suspicion of witchcraft between 2000 and 2012, according to the National Crime Records Bureau. Some states, including Jharkhand, have introduced special laws to try to curb crimes against people accused of witchcraft and superstition. Experts say belief in witchcraft and the occult remains widespread in impoverished rural communities across India. There are also occasional reports of human sacrifices. Earlier this month police in northeastern Assam state said they suspected a case of human sacrifice after finding the headless body of a woman near a Hindu temple.
