Announcing its eagerly awaited verdict in Panama Leak case, Supreme Court today ordered an investigation into how money was transferred to Qatar, after a year Panama papers revelation linked the prime minister's family to offshore business. The apex court has ordered the formation of a joint investigation team (JIT) to carry out the investigation, which should present its report every two weeks before the five-judge bench. The supreme court has also Nawaz Sharif and his sons Hassan and Hussain to appear before the JIT.
As the curtain fell on the annual award ceremony held at the expo center of Karachi this Wednesday night, the 16th edition of lux Style Awards will be remembered as a night of many firsts as well as unprecedented surprises. Featuring nearly 30 categories of film, fashion, music and television, the night was hosted by international famed singing sensation Atif Aslam for the first time. Often dubbed Pakistan's alternative to Oscars since its inception in 2002, it is the oldest, most prominent and most talked about award show. Keeping off with Atif Aslam's power packed performance among its big surprises was yesterday's siver queen Reema's return to the limelight. Tina Sani and Tariq Amin were the recipient of lifetime award. With the best actor, best director and best picture of the year going to Pakistani film "actor in law" was the biggest winner of the ceremony of this year. Mahira Khan received the best actress LSA for her lead performance in "Ho Man Jahaan".

Mashal Khan, the student of Abdul wali Khan University, who was lynched to death by an angry mob, was a brilliant student. His last words before death were," No one believes in the prophet PBUH than I do. I never committed blasphemy, I am a sophi myself. " Mashal Khan had talked to a local TV channel 2 days before his death about the student's issues and mishappening in the university. During the interview to the local channel he raised voice for illegal activities in the varsity and shed light on the problems faced by the university. He highlighted the issue that many of the officials had dual charges which was illegal. He also said that vice chancellor of the university was absent since March 20, that is why many students were facing difficulties getting the degrees. Mashal had also pointed out the extra and unfair fee structure the varsity had imposed on students, which is more thn double of other varsities.
