Saudi Woman Begged For 50 Years, Lived 100 Years And Died As Millionaire
A Saudi woman lived as beggar for most of her life until she was 100 years. When died she left behind millions and four buildings. Known as Aisha, the woman had told her neighbour just before her death, to give her money to authorities, as she had no relatives. Okaz newspaper estimated her wealth at SR five million plus four large buildings in Red Sea port of Jeddah, where Aisha had practiced her begging profession for more than 50 years. "She had around SR four million in cash, more than SR one million in gold coins and four buildings," the paper said quoting a neighbour man, who said he had served her for many years before she died this week. "Before her death, she asked me to inform authorities and hand over all the money and properties to them. I have handed over her wealth to a dignitary in the neighbourhood in the presence of other dignitaries. He made the pledge to take all the necessary procedures to hand over the money to the authorities shortly."
