Saudi Arabia Demands Closure Of Al-Jazeera
Saudi Arabia demanded that Qatar shut down Al-Jazeera and two think tanks during a recent meeting of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Riyadh demanded closure of pan-Arab Broadcaster as well as the Brookings Doha Center and the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, the source told AFP on the condition of anonymity. After the reportedly heated meeting of GCC on March 05, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the Unite Arab Emirates called their ambassadors back from fellow member Qatar, which they accused of interfering in their internal affairs and supporting the Muslim Brotherhood. source said Saudi foreign minister Saud Al-Faisal had demanded three things of Doha- "to close the (Qatari-owned) Al-Jazeera network, which stirs sedition, close the reserch centers in Doha, and turn over all outlaws", on its territory. Qatar's foreign minister replied that the demand 'constituted' interference in its internal affairs. Qatar is seen as a supporter to the Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliates cross the region, which are banned in most Gulf states. Muslim world is unfortunate having no unity while West is united all the time against Muslims on all issues. Monarchies are more mentality slaves to the West to save their crowns. Real Muslims are extremists near west and so are with crowned kings.
