Two hundred and eighty seven people of different nationalities converted to Islam during the holy month of Ramazan, according to the Department of Islamic Affairs in Dubai. Dr Hammad Bin Al Sheikh Al Shaibani, director general of the department said, new converts are being given training in Arabic Language and have been provided publications and CDs in their own languages containing information about Islam. Dr Umar Khatib executive director of the Islamic affairs said the new converts include 222 women and 85 men.
