Hosn e Mubarak Case Will Have Far-Reaching Effects In The Arab World

During the 30 years rule of Hosn e Mubarak, justice Riffat has been working on key judicial posts and inspite of hearing sensitive cases, he had no links with rulers or ruling party. The court has been established in the police academy located in the north of Cairo for the hearing of case of former president and his aids. When the former president was presented in the court he was lying on a stretcher in a cage. He denied all the corruption allegations as well as killing of protests starting on January 25, 2011.
Egyptian intellectuals term this case having far reaching impacts not only on Egypt but on the whole Arab world. According to the chief editor of Egyptian daily "Alsharooq" Aamad ud Din Hussain, the trial of Hosn e Mubarak is not an ordinary events but he said he thinks that the trial against former president is a great gift for the nations like Libyans, Syrians, and Yemenis struggling for revolution.
Answering to a question Ammad ud Din said the presentation of Hosn e Mubarak in the court indicated that rule of law has taken place in Egypt and no one is exempted from for any misdoings. Chairman of Alternate policy Study Center, Umar Wansho Bikki the presentation of Mubarak and sons in the court has avoided two great dangers facing Egypt. First was the impression of the people that no impartial jury will be available for the trial but impartial court has saved the nation from it. Secondly, it was thought that government will not bring him to court due to world pressure due to which a new wave of protests could take place but inspite of sickness his presentation in the court has satisfied the people. The most important thing is that the hearing of the case will be telecast live from the court through official TV channel. Masses wanted to watch the hearing of the most important case by themselves.
