First Saudi Female Diplomat Appointed Abroad








Saudi Arabia has appointed its first top female diplomat in foreign country and the woman has already taken up the post. Hala Al Jafali was named Saudi Arabia's honorary consul general in Saint Lucia, an island nation in eastern Caribbean. Al Jafali traveled to Saint Lucia during the first week of November to start her assignment as the Gulf Kingdom's first female consul abroad. Located northeast of the island Saint Vincent, northwest of Barbados, and south of Martinique, Saint Lucia covers a land area of 617 square kilo meters and has a population of about 174,000, its capital is Castries.
