National Assembly Unanimous Passes Resolution For Lifting Ban On You Tube
National Assembly )NA) today unanimously passed resolution seeking to lift ban on You Tube in Pakistan. The resolution was tabled by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNA Shazia Marri. She every Muslim country of the world has lifted ban on You Tube, ading that video sharing website can also be accessed through proxy. Mari asked in the assembly why we were adopting double standard on the issue. During the session State minister Saira Afzal Tarar said the You Tube was banned in the PPP's era, and that government also wanted to re-open You Tube but in the light of court's directives. She stressed all the political parties to solve the issue with the consultation. It is worth mentioning here that video sharing You Tube was banned in Pakistan in September 2012.
