Malik To Sue Shahbaz Sharif For Rs 10 Billion

Federal Interior Minister Rehman A. Malik has decided to sue CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif for Rs 10 billion and Senator Mushahidullah for Rs2 billion over accusing him of drawing Rs 500 million form Intelligence Bureau (IB) deposits, a private News channel reported.
According to a handout issued by the interior ministry, Malik rejected the allegation as baseless.
“ This is an attempt to divert attention form Mehrangate scandal’s key witness Younis Habib’s historic revelations,” said interior minister in the statement issued.
The handout added, neither the interior ministry held any sway over ISI/IB’s finances, administration, and operations nor the interior minister was authorized to draw money.
The statement also said that the interior minister was absolutely unaware of the whole issue.
