The Worst Scandals Ever In Pakistan's History

Pakistan as country has faced a lot of scandals in the past. These scandals not only defamed Pakistam in he world but also weakened its already weak economy. Here are some of the scandals that hit the news headlines in the world. *-- Mukhtaran Mai Scandal:- Mukhtaran Mai who was ganged raped by several men on the directions of head of Punchayat ( a village court deciding criminal cases in remotest rural areas) of the country. This incident created a buzz in the world media and she attracted the attention of NGOs Globally. She was invited to several European countries and the USA. She got ample amount of money from NGOs and Western Embassies. She then married a

policeman and has been running an NGO and her business of school. The inspectors of WAPDA department invaded her NGO and school in her hometown as they caught her using electricity by illegal means to run her school and business. Her brother beat up the inspectors and threatened them of the bad consequences. *-- Memogate Scandal:- Memogate scandal refers to an alleged letter sent to the American high command by Hussain Haqqani who was Pakistani ambassador to the USA at that time. He had been getting all the privileges from the

government of Pakistan. According to reports he had been accused of protecting the reliant interets of the USA in Pakistan by goving Visas to CIA agents like Ramond Davis. *-- Ramond Davis Scandal"- Ramond Davis was an former American soldier (CIA agent), who was caught killing of two unarmed men in daylight in Lahore on January 2011. However, he was arrested under the criminal charge and possession

of illegal arms. For his released Pakistan was pressurised and even president Obama threatened Pakistan. He was released on March 16, 2011, after the families of killed wre given $ 2.4 million as a monetary compensation for the murder. *-- Lal Masjid (Red Mosque) Operation:- The Lal Masjid operation also called as the Siege of Lal Masjid was a confrontation between government led by gen(R) Parvez Musharraf and militants of Islamic Fundamentalists in July 2007. The main factors of the operation were Jamia Hafsa Madrassa (religious school) and Lal Masjid. Since 2006, the Madrassa was run by two brothers Maulna Abdul aziz and Ghazi Abdul Rashid. All accusations are lies but the weakest and slave government of Pakistan did not defend her. *-- Abbotttabad Operation:- Abbottabad operation involves the killing of Osama Bi Laden who was supposed to be thehead and founder of Al-Qaeda. He was killed in Pakistan on May 02, 2011. The US SEAL and army invading the residence of

Osama Bi Lsaden in Abbottabad carried out the operation. The US army then buried the body in the sea and the death caused uproar in the Al-Qaeda ans also in the Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan against the US army and Pakistan for not stopping the operation.
