Government And Taliban Dialogue Committees Agreed On Ceasefire
The first meeting of the dialogue committee was held in KP house, both side agreed not to issue any statement against each other that can hinder the talks. Members also agreed that dialogue should not be lengthy as nation is waiting for good news. However, committee constituted by Taliban expressed reservations about the powers and mandate of government committee. Taliban committee said that the demands and agenda of the government committee will soon be conveyed to Taliban leadership and next meeting after which committees will meet again. Irfan Siddique said the talks were held in pleasant environment. He said they will go to meet Taliban leadership in helicopter if next round of talks is held farther from Miran Shah.
