Sun Group COO Arrested For Harassing Female Staff

Chief Operating Officer (COO) C Praveen was arrested in Chennai on sexual harassment complaint filed by staff member of the television network. Police stormed into his house in anna Nagar at 5 AM in the morning and picked him up. Preethi Sivan, a former staff if Surya TV, a sister concern of Sun TV, filed the complaint against him. Preethi quit her job five months ago following alleged sexual harassment by him, she complained against Praveen for harassing her continuously.

She submitted WhatsApp conversation, messages and call records to substantiate her claim. Preliminary inquiries revealed that Preethi had suffered physical and mental torture. It is pertinent to mention here that India has attracted the attention of the world for the last two to three years mostly for attacks on women. particularly rape cases.
