PPP Has Become The Most Unpopular Party Among The Three Big Parties---Gallup Survey








Gallup Pakistan in its recent survey in the country has revealed that Pakistan People's Party has become an unpopular party quickly during its own rule over the country. Its popularity graph has fallen by 10 %. During 2000 elections PPP had secured 31 votes, while Gallup Survey had sought the opinion of 4940 individuals and it showed that now only 21 % of the voters are in favor of casting their ballots in favor of PPP during next elections.
On other side PML (N) and PTI both have gained higher popularity in Pakistan according to the survey. During the 2008 elections the PML(N) obtaining 20 $ of the votes has gained the favor of 33 % voters for the next election. While, the rising politician on political scenario Imran Khan has won the favor of 17 % of the voters, who had boycotted the 2008 election, the Gallup Survey reported.
The government run under president Zardari is unliked by the majority of the public. During the current year 85 % of the people of Pakistan think that country is being led to the wrong direction. According to survey on provincial level PTI has strengthened its ground in Khyber Pakhtoon Khah and Punjab. In Punjab the popularity of PTI (Imran Khan) is double in Punjab as compared to PPP. Ispite of major successes in Punjab, PTI is no risk for PML(N)political ground. PML has also gained more favor in Punjab, during 2008 elections 29 % voters favored PML while during 2012 44 % of the voters intend to cast votes in favor of PML.
The survey results indicate that PPP has got increased favor of voters in Sind, astonishingly. PTI though had held a grand gathering in Karachi but could not gain the favor of more than 6 % of Sindhi voters. However, PML has only favor of 5 % of the voters in Sind. The survey results also revealed that PPP has lost the favor of most of the people of KPK. The percentage of the number of KPK voters has decreased from 18 % during 2008 to 6 % in 2012. Similarly, the allies of PPP have also lost their favor in KPK. ANP has also lost half of the voters in the province as compared to 2008. In KPK 42 % of the voters want to cast their votes in favor of PML while, 25 % like PTI. No party is popular in Baluchistan, however three major parties have gained some strength in the province. Other allies of PPP have also lost their votes. During 2008, MQM, Muslim League (Q), JUI and ANP had obtained 35 % of the votes now the they have only favor upto 14 %.
