Google's Gmail Account is Being Replaced By "Inbox By Gmail"

If you visit your Gmail account, you will observe an interesting thing. Google has started notifying users of its experimental "Inbox By Gmail" that this has replaced their Gmail account. The pop-up appears when inbox users log in states "Thanks for trying inbox". To make it easier we have updated Gmail to redirect you here!. In plain URL terms this means the standalone inbox.google.com for the beta service disappears and inbox instead resides at Gmail.com. The good news is any user who does not want inbox to replace has the option to 'to turn it off' which pushes both services back to their dedicated domains. Google sees inbox as replacement for Gmail rather than separate service it has been up til this time.
