Idealogical Symbols That Interpret Different Faiths, Idalogies And Religions

Our modern world today apparently seems on the heights of civilization and traditions but, inspite of all their modernization there are some groups that remaining in own thinking circle feel pride of being linked to the past. Peculiar moral principles, traditions, acts, natural scenes and fine arts are described through symbols that are the essential parts of their daily lives. Some sects think the protection of these symbols is the purpose of their lives. Some of the symbols and their importance to specific groups are as follows;-
*--- Veves
One of the ancient religions in the Western Africa since the pre-historic era is "Vodoun" also called Vodou. The Vodoun tribe make symbols on the sacrifice festival that is called "Veve". Believing in souls or spiritualism the vodoun tribe dedicate the veve symbol to gods that they call Laos. As they have more than one god so they make symbols according to the qualities of each god. These complicated symbols are made on ground with the help of egg powder or from any other available compound. They create the symbol with hard work and zeal because they think that the correct symbol will upgrade the status of god. These ancient symbols are spread-ed from Ghana to Nigeria, and can be seen on the sacred places of "Santeria Candomble" faith. The most important Veve is that dedicated to Goddess of Love, Erzulie.
*--- Sphinx
In the legends of Egyptians, Africans and Greeks the important character is Sphinx. Its lower half body is of lion and face is that of human being. The excellent example of the Sphinx is that of "Abulhole" which is an Arabic word. This is situated on the Western Bank of river Nile in Gaza out side the pyramid of Pharaoh "Ghogha". In addition, Sphinx can be seen in the countries of South Asia and South Eastern Asia in South India, Myanmar, Thailand, Sri Lanka. Philippine and China. These can be seen with different local names and according to status in the worship places and road sides. In Europe in France and Spain, the statues of Sphinx were engraved during fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, as decoration items. Moreover, the Sphinx statues of Asarian civilization made in 780 BC and Persian Sultanate during 480 BC have been discovered that have wings on their bodies engraved with great expertise.
