Cricket Has Become Business In India

human history reveals that sports were started to provide recreation to the human beings, and to bring different nation closer to each other and to promote goodwill sentiments. But, Indian cricket board has turned the cricket into business which is called the gentlemen's game. Business means to earn more and more money and this is the purpose of Indian cricket.
Therefore, majority of Indian cricketers do not play for the respect of the country not even for personal success but play for the money. This was the reason that six months ago Indian team was defeated badly in test matches by West Indies, Britain and Australia because all the energy of the players was sucked by IPL matches. The Indian cricket board is run by politicians, businessmen and industrialists who look for money not the quality of the game.
Indian cricket board is a private organization, but government is fully at the back of the board and exempted it from paying several taxes. It does not pay recreation allowance and government provides it the facilities of police, fire brigade and medical staff, though board is a rich institution.
All the owners of IPL teams are billionaires and government has extended all the privileges and facilities to them. This is the worst example of injustice and nepotism.
Moreover, high level corruption is the common routine of the cricket board. Huge money is pocketed through attractive contracts and sale of tickets by the officers. Due to the corruption, it was demanded in the parliament recently, accounts of the board be audited by the auditor general Vanod Roy, this was due to Vanode Roy's auditing of 2-G Spectrum that the case came to light and minister for telecom was jailed.
The cricketers in India are highly paid. Inspite of this huge earnings match fixing is practiced on vast scale. The Indian captain Mehandar Singh Dhoni earns Rs. 500 million annually through cricket and ads. His daily earning is Rs 2 million. While Sachan Tendulkar earns Rs 400 million annually and his daily income is Rs 1.6 million. On other hand Indian president receives only Rs. one hundred and fifty thousand as her salary per month. While the president of the world super power Obama gets Rs 150000 daily per day.
Indian board has made 3 categories of national cricketers, the 7 players of this category receive Rs 10 million salary in the season, while 9 players of second category receive Rs 5 million and the players of third category get Rs 2.5 million per season. Moreover, cricketers get Rs 0.7 million for each test, Rs 0.4 for one day and for T-29 each player gets Rs. 0.2 million.
Indian board has 3 categories for first class players too. The first category includes the players that have 5 years experience and they are paid they get Rs.0.3 million per season while second category player having 2 years gets Rs 0.2 million and in the third category new learners get Rs.0.1 million per season.
