Colonial Atack On Malaya (Malaysia) In 1824

Britain and Holland divided the territories of South Eastern Asia between each other in 1824 so that confrontation between the two colonial powers may be ended. Britain got Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei while Indonesia remained under the rule of Holland. Britons were so happy to have Malaysia under their rule as thee were vast reserves of minerals like, tin, coal, baksite rubber and other minerals. So, British and European traders, industrialists and investors reached Malaysia and occupied its resources. Thus, income generated by the Malaysian resources was making Britons and other European richer and prosperous.
During world war II Japanese occupied Malaysia. When they were defeated Britons again reached to Malaysia. But, now the local population had determined to get freedom. So, Malayans started armed freedom movement. British historians according to colonial traditions named it "mutiny", and it remained from 1948 to 1960. During this freedom movement the Britishers carried out extreme brutal, cruel and full of atrocities acts against Malaysian Muslim and non-Muslim freedom fighters that are the darkest chapter of the human history.
Among these the brutal act of December 12, 1948 "The Batang Kali Massacre" has prominent place in the history. It happened so that the British forces besieged a Malayan village near Batang Kali. The "sin" of the villagers was that they provided the food and shelter to the freedom fighters. The cruel soldiers separated children and women and shot all the 24 men of village dead. This was an open official terrorism.
After ward British government realized that it had committed a crime. So save the soldiers from court they issued a law that those who run away to avoid arrest, he can be shot. So it was announced later that villagers were running so soldiers had to fire on them.
At present the younger kins of those killed in Batang Kali massacre have filed a petition against Britain government. They want apology from the government and to pay fine.
