Woman And a Man Were Caned In Indonesia Having Illicit Relations Under Sharia Law (Video)
Clutching her head into her hands as she was sentenced to 26 lashes across her back in Aceh province of Indonesia for having sex outside of marriage which is against Sharia law. After the woman's punishment was over, the man she is accused of having sex with was also brought to the stage to receive his punishment of 26 lashes, as a large crowd came to watch their punishment. Aceh is the only province in Indonesia that is allowed to implement Sharia law. Under the law, the men and women , who are not spouses are not allowed to get too close to have chance of 'Zana' (sex) which is punishable by public caning. Gay sex, gambling and drinking alcohol are all punishable by caning in Aceh which began implementing Sharia law after being granted special autonomy in 2001. Last year Banda Aceh banned women from entertainment venues after 11 PM unless they are accompanied by husband or male family member. Aceh district has also banned unmarried men and women from riding motorbike together. This is exact Islamic Laws which Aceh province of Indonesia is following, other Islamic countries are just so called Muslims. Mixed parties and functions are strictly prohibited in Islam that give birth to sins, specially of Zana. .
