Other diseases that could be transmitted by kissing include:- Hepatitis B:- Kissing may also transmit this virus, although blood has high level of this virus than saliva. Infection can occur when infected blood and saliva come into direct contact with someone's bloodstream or mucous membrane. A person is more likely to be infected when kissing if they have open sores in and around mouth. Warts:- warts in the mouth can be spread through kissing, especially if there are areas of recent trauma. Meningococcal Disease: This is a life-threatening condition caused by bacteria transmitted through kissing that include meningitis, inflammation of the membranes ( meninges) that surround the brain and spinal cord and splecaemia. However, with respect to kissing only deep kissing can be a risk factor. However, there is no need to give up kissing for the sake of your health and that of your loved ones. While disease causing bugs can be transmitted during a kiss, they would not cause disease and the risk of serious disease is very low. Keep in mind that passionate kissing has health benefits like emotional kissing, stress reduction, metabolic boost, foreplay, healthier mouth and increased immunity. Do not worry and keep on kissing.
