Aesha Farooq-- The First Jet Fighter Female Piloit Of Pakistan








Twenty-six year Aesha Farooq belonging to a middle class family of Bahawalpur is among those 19 female pilots who got commission in the PAF during last ten years. She passed the final exam for posting as jet fighter pilot and has been apponited at Mashaf Air Base Sargodha. Head coverede with scarf and dressed in green uniform she Aesha Farooq is the pilot of 7-PG-F. There are five female pilots of fighters but she has the honor of first Pakistani woman pilot who passed the final test for the pilot status. She said there is no discremination between male and female staff members in PAF, and all the women have equal chances to forward ahead in career. There are 316 females working in Pakistan Air Force while more than 4,000 women have joined Pakistan Army.
