New Dhaba-- A Truck Art Restaurant Owned And Run By A Woman In Peshawar (PICS and Video)

Women of Pakistan are breaking the stereotypes and making the society flow forward rather than keeping it stagnant and are accomplishing in eery walk of life. An example in this regard is a Dhaba opened by a woman in a city like Peshawar. This is the 'Dhaba' style open-air small cafe located among shopping malls and cafes run by male owners in the University Town. This dhaba really stands out among its neighbors because of its truck art exhibited on the exterior plus scrumptious naan and Karak Chai (hard tea, the special taste of truck drivers). Furthermore, hygienic quality is examplary here. Food is provided in disposable utensils and Laila, the owner and cook herself makes it sure that all the SOPs of cleanliness are followed. Laila improvises and self-discovers the recipes for these scrumptious naans. She said it was her hobby and interest and she thought why not to open up a cafe and let people enjoy her recipes especially the ones whom village-folk and young would love alike.
She claimed that her brother said it would run but she had proved him wrong and now girls, women and families were coming to her dhaba restaurant. Laila is a single parent deems it important for women to follow their passions and become financially independent just like her.
