Tell A Lie And Hide The Truth--USA's Motto

When Raymond Davis was arrested in Lahore, American President Obama called him " Our Diplomat" and US government tried a lot to proove him diplomat or consular. Afterwards, when John Kerry failed to get him released and returned home, British newspaper "Guardian" published the story that Raymond was a CIA agent. Then American newspapers too had to publish this news. Though USA is self made champion of freedom of expression and US media and press proudly announces that it is free from the government pressure but after Raymond case their dual face came to light. While, the fact was was that American government had ordered its so called free press to hide the truth of Raymond's being CIA agent. Astonishingly, American famous newspapers, Newyork Times, Washington Post and popular news agency Associated Press confessed that they came to know the actual status of Rasymond the very next day, they had hidden it for the nation and national cause, however, many newspapers and American Journalists call it a baseless argument. For example Glenn Greenwald of famous on line magazine "Salon" criticized the popular American newspapers for helping the government and hiding the truth. He wrote," it is a separate issue if the story is not publish due to the risk for someone's life but US government kept on telling lies for a week to save a killer's life and Obama called the killer as our diplomat and mean time all the popular newspapers intentionally hide the truth and made themselves a part of official propaganda machinery." He further said that was not it the responsibility of the US administration to bring the truth to the light so their attitude shocked all the Americans believing in freedom of expression. Famous and award winner journalist of Philadelphia David Land Raff also strictly criticized the American government on this issue.
Though it is a fact that American press played its marvelous and historical role in bringing the facts of "Water Gate Scandal", "Mai Li Massacre" and "Pentagon Papers" to the public, but most of the time the American Press hides the truth on the directions of the government claiming it "National Safety" and the Raymond case is the latest example of it.
