From "MTv To Makka"---- Book Of Newly Convert Muslima Christina Baker--1








It is a fact that today's character of Muslim countries as well as that of Muslims themselves is not exemplary that can attract non-Muslims to Islam. Only Taliban impressed Christine Lamb by their high character who embraced Islam. It is a truth too that we the Muslims are bad not our religion. Therefore, those Non-Muslims who convert to Islam after throughly studying its teachings term it the best religion of all for humanity.
Christina Baker was born in the beautiful city of Hamburg. She began her professional life in the age of 21 as radio journalist when she had undergone 2 years volunteer training in Hamburg Radio. She was selected among the those thousands of candidates who appeared for audition as host for Europe's first music channel MTv. She was the first host belonging to Germany. She was appointed with only one condition that she will have to go to London for program.
She reached to London in 1989 as host of MTv Europe. She started a new professional life and met famous celebrities for interviews. MTv became a unique trend maker channel that was popular in Germany, Scanday Navian countries and North Western European countries. Christina was also very popular in the whole Europe. She also covered 1992 Olympics in Spain as MTv correspondent. She was the top most host of the MTv Europe. She served as an anchor person for several programs. Among the programs that were watched vastly was "Coca Cola Report".
Though she reached to a status of her profession that is a dream of thousands of people. But, when in the evening she reached to her flat she felt loneliness, life seemed purposeless and hollow.
Christina says that Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan whom she met in 1992, served as a bridge between her new and old life. He guided me and gave me several books on Islam to read. She was very impressed by the poetry of Bulhay Shah and Jalas ud Din Roomi.
