Eight People Killed In A Clash Between TMQ Workers And Police In Lahore








At least eight people were killed and several other injured when police and Tehreek e Minhaj ul Quran workers clashed in Lahore. Minjajul Quran workers pelted police with stones and chanted slogans against the government when law enforcement agencies tried to remove blockades placed out side the secretriat of the organisation and residence of Dr Tahir Ul Qadri. Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced to observe a day of mourning tomorrow (Wednesday) over the deaths of TMQ workers in the clash. In a statement MQM has appealed to traders, industrialists, shopkeepers and transporters and businessmen to shut down their business and to participate in the day of mourning voluntarily.
