Inspite of Some Economic Progress All Is Not Well In India

Experts say that though India has gained some economic targets but, still it can not be termed as a Role Model. Western and Indian media is presenting India as a "Powwer House" of 21 1st century. Indians are trying to have a permanent seat in UN Security Council and President too has favored it but due to the reasons well known to the world, Indian claim for this is just a propaganda.
The fact is that In India, the so-called future "Super Power" 400 mn people, today even are living below the poverty line and they are so poor that they do not have the basic facilities of life including clean drinking water, and electricity. They are living in stone age. Among those who are above poverty line 600 mn people have daily earning as Rs 100 - 200 ( $ one and half to three). How a country with so large number of poors can be a super power of Asia.?
According to economic Pandits only the high sect of the society is benefiting from the fruits of the progress done during the last 19 years. Definitely some 300 mn people got rid of the grip of poverty but they live hand to mouth and they hardly can buy the daily food items to live.
Where in India 800 mn people are living difficult and troublesome life, India is buying maximum arms and ammunition to have supremacy in the area. It is recalled that India is the biggest arms buyer in the world and the visit of Us president was also mainly in this regard to make India buy more arms from the USA. Earlier India used to buy arms from France or Russia but now its trend is towards USA where, there exits world's largest Arms Manufacturing Industry. The trade agreements that were signed between India and USA were also for the benefit of the richest of India e.g., one agreement was signed for the installation of a motorcycle plant of Harley Davidson and that motor bike is only used by the richest in India.
Poor also live in Pakistan too but the condition of their life is not as much worst as is seen in Indian cities and villages. According to world reports the poverty rate in Pakistan is lower than in India.

Cable Disclosures About Pakistan Is Neither New Nor Unique For Pakistanis

What the WikiLeaks have disclosed in diplomatic cables about Pakistan and claimed to be exclusives news stories is not new or unique for common Pakistani. One Hundred and Eighty million people in Pakistan know that what their government is doing or who is behind their power or who is the center of power, or even which is the most powerful institution in Pakistan. If WikiLeaks leaks out that President Zardari is not capable of the office or he is charged with corruption cases or cases against other Leaders of PPP are in the courts, so what is new.? People of Pakistan are aware, conscious and know more about their country than WikiLeaks. In addition, all this and more is announced daily by the opposition leaders and people watch the TV or listen to radio and are aware of the facts. Pakistanis already knew that US ambassadors always spy for their country , but our leaders do not know or pose to, and use to invite them for dinners and disclosing to them all the information and talking against political rivals as flattering, requesting them to bestow power and chair to them. Like Fazal Ur Rahman, who instead of asking to Allah for PM ship begs N.W.Petersen. Pakistanis also know that every other country does not trust Pakistan, or USA wants to terminate Pakistan's nuclear capabilities, or present government is unpopular. Majority of Pakistanis being illiterate have very much understanding of the current affairs.
WikiLeaks just wasted its time and energy to make Pakistanis know about their government or informed the outer world that how Pakistan is doing. N.W.Petersen and other US diplomats in Pakistan also wasted their stationary and worn their computer to send cables to their country. What is the impact on Pakistanis who are already suffering from diseases like Sugar Mafias, Electricity Mafias, Flour Mafias and so on and so forth.

How Did India Control Economic Crisis- A Lesson For Pakistan

If a good deed is performed by an enemy, one must recognize and appreciate that setting enmity aside for a moment. After partition PM Pandit Nehro introduced socialistic economic policies under which steel, mining, insurance and banking were nationalized tp promote public sector. Many taxs were imposed on imports, foreign investment was discouraged, local business men were put in the grip of business licenses and permits, quota and. Supremacy of bureaucracy created red tapism for corporate and business class. Therefore, the policies introduced by Pandit Nehro and his daughter Indra Gandhi for the benefit of the economic growth could not produce positive results, and from 1947 to 1980 annual economic growth of India remained 3.5 % while Pakistan had 5 %. During 1984, Rajev Gandhi made business easier for the beginners and taxes rate was decreased. So, investment got promoted and telecom sector came into being. Economic growth reached to 5.6 %. In 1991, Narsema Rao started extensive reforms and made the Finance Minster Manmohan Singh responsible for this "libralization" policies. He invited foreign investment and taxes were minimized that boosted Indian economic growth and India was on the path of progress. These policies were also continued by Atal Bihari Vajpaey. Though still India is not at par with developed countries but has made its conomic condition better. Some positive results are:- from 1991 to 2009, 300 mn Indians got rid of poverty. Economic growth of India reached to 9 % during 2007 and India became the world second economically growing power. In 1991 , foreign investment was only 132 mn dollars, today foreign investment is 30 - 35 bn dollars. Banglore, Haidarabad, Gurgaon, and Ahmadabad became the hub of national and international trade activities. Per ca pita income reached to 7 % annual while while it was 2 % for decades. During 1991 foreign exchange reservoirs were 1.2 bn dollars , now
it has 298 bn dollars, while Pakistan has only 17 bn dollars, and this is due to IMF and World Bank's Loans. Population birth rate is 1.32 % due to education and consciousness. India is now 5th economic power with GDP as highest as 2.57 trillion dollars., while Pakistan with 433 bn dollars is on 28 th position. Pakistan must learn lesson from the productive policies of neighboring country.

The Sheep, Dolly Is to Be Clond Once Again

Dolly the Sheep, the first mammal successfully cloned from an adult cell, lived only six years. But scientists report taking the same tissue samples used to clone Dolly to produce four exact genetic duplicates. "Dolly is alive and well," Nottingham University Professor Keith Campbell, who keeps the Dollies as pets, told "Genetically these are Dolly." When researchers reported having cloned a sheep in July 1996, only Dolly survived from the 29 embryos produced from 277 eggs. This time just five embryos were needed to create each of the Dollies.
The latest experiments, which actually took place three-and-a-half years ago, became public knowledge after Campbell mentioned them during a lecture.
Dolly was put down in Feb. 2003 because she suffered from lung disease and arthritis. But so far, the new Dolly quartets are doing well, according to Campbell.
"They have got the life of Reilly," he said. "They potter around and get fed."

Pakistan Must Learn From the Economic Progress of India

There is no doubt and it is a fact that India is Pakistan's enemy since the partition of United India in 1947. India imposed three wars on Pakistan. But, it is a fact too that India is less corrupt than Pakistan. The people of India are loyal, patriotic and sincere to there country. If they are occupying Kashmir and killing innocent Kashmiris, not obeying the resolutions of UN, so are doing for their country because they do not want to give an inch of land to the people of Kashmir, that they have no right to be there. But do not do anything for our nation and country but do every thing for individual benefit, whether he is a Pakistani politician or a common man.
How India and Bangladesh are ahead of Pakistan economically, if our rulers want to see Pakistan a prosperous country then they must follow their examples.
If we compare Pakistan in 1947 and now, of course, our economy has some progress, but the problem is that opposite to developed countries, the fruits of progress are not reaching to masses rather only to limited and already rich ones. Today, nearly 80 m people are living below the poverty line in Pakistan. the remaining 104 m have daily earnings from Rs. 100 to 200 (US Dollar is 1: 86). Though, Indian government too has heavy burden of loans, and high inflation rate, but our condition is more critical. Our finance Secretary says," government departments are working on subsidy, no department has capability to earn some thing for itself. Government is meeting its expenditure by making currency notes or getting loans from IMF or World Bank. these loans are too dangerous for Pakistan's economy. Today, Pakistan has internal and external loans worth 58.412 bn dollars. This amount makes 64 % of GDP. That shows the worst economic condition of the country. Unfortunately, every government in Pakistan did not care for minimizing the loans but preferred to get more loans to provide oxygen to economy on bed. There was no harm in getting loans if these would have been used on the providing the facilities to people or doing the developmental works for which there were obtained. A meager amount of these is spent for the purpose, and renaming lion share is spent on foreign tours of the rulers or lavishly livings of the leaders. Pakistan pays nearly $ 5.641 bn annually for interest on the loans. The aid given by France, Japan, and South Korea to Pakistan for flood affectees have been paid as interest Pakistan has the highest inflation rate in Asia, which is 15.7, therefore price of food items have gone up and common man is being crushed by price hike. The essential commodities like petrol, diesel gas, electricity are too high and out of the reach of Pakistanis.

Pakistani Political Leaders Beg To America For Power

It is unfortunate on the part of Pakistanis that their leaders being so called citizens of a free country geographical, are not free mentally. They are slaves practically so they are trying to make the country a foreign colony. Among them may be Head of Muslim League , PPP JUI, ANP or any other party beg always to the USA who can through some piece of begging s to them. As President Zardari in a meeting with an American delegation during 2008 to the members that he would do nothing with out the consultation of the USA. During a dinner in honor of N.W Peterson , USA ambassador to Pakistan, Maulana Fazal Ur Rahman begged for Prime Minister-ship of Pakistan. USA was not in favor of Justice Iftekhar Muhammad Chaudhry , so President was in his favor too. Disclosure of Diplomatic Cables unveils the real faces of all the Pakistani leaders. Therefore, Pakistani Government is attempting to ban Wikileaks sites , but how would these be done? If done so they can not stop the leakage of many secrets on International Media. Cables also disclosed that when Hammed Gul was Chief of ISI, he used to rder Suicide bombers against Russian forces. Army also is away from this dirty politics. Concentrating on national and professional mandate. President Zardari also offered Governorship of Baluchistan to Iftekhar Muhammad Chaudhary. The only Politician , who is free of any American effects or pressure is Imran Khan. But a person like this is impossible to be PM or any other high political rank . Because USA does not want him. Secodly, the inherited politics would leave no way for him to be PM. He may win a little more seats in Parliament .

Anger Can Be Controlled By a Spoonful of Sugar

Researchers have found that higher levels of sugar can help in controlling anger and can prevent temper loss. In their study more than sixty college students fasted for three hours to decrease instability of glucose. Then all the participants were asked to participate in a taste test study.
Their response time was measured in computerized test against their opponents. Among all participants, half were provided with lemonade sweetened with sugar, whereas others were provided with lemonade with substitute of sugar. After wait for eight minutes, which permit glucose to be mixed in the bloodstream, they took part in the reaction test.
All the participants were asked to press a button with their unseen partner as fast as in twenty-five trials. Whoever was slower received a blast of white noise through their headphones. At the start of every trial, participants fix the levels of noise which their partner would acquire, if they were slower.
The sound was rated on a scale of one to ten from sixty decibels to one hundred and five decibels. Every participant won twelve out of twenty-five trails. Aggression was evaluated by intensity of noise that participant opt on first trail prior to provoke by their partner.
The results showed that participants who drank the lemonade sweetened with sugar behaved less aggressively than those who drank lemonade with a sugar substitute.
Those who drank the sugar-sweetened drink chose a noise level averaging five out of ten, while those with the sugar substitute averaged six.
According to study co-researcher Prof Brad Bushman, drinking sweetened lemonade can help in providing short term energy, required to prevent lashing out at others. The main problem is that the number of people having problem of metabolizing glucose is rising speedily. This is the first study to find that boosting glucose levels can diminish actual aggressive behavior.
