British MP Jo Cox Was Shot Dead In Northern England

A British law maker, 41-year-old Jo Cox, a mother of two from the opposition Labor Party was killed in a daylight street attack in the village Birstall in northern England. Police later announced th death of Jo- a leading compaigner for Britain to remain in the 28-member bloc. A 52-year-old man has been arrested by police. After the attack the 'Remain' camp said it was suspending all the compaigning for the day, while a spokesman for the rival Vote Leave group said their battle bus was returning to headquarters. Prime minister David Cameron cancelled a planned rally during a historic but controversial visit to Gibralter as a part of his compaign for Britain to stay in the EU in the June 23 vote. The attack halted a frantic day of compaigning, as two new opinion polls indicated that more Britons now want to leave EU than want to stay. If thy prove correct Britain will become the first country in nearly six decades history of the bloc to leave. Cameron was already his way to Gibralter when news of the attack broke, on the first trip of rocky outcrop by a British premier since 1968. His visit has angered Spain which also claims the tiny territory.

Woman In Multan Throws Acid On Man Refusing Her Marriage Proposal

A woman Shamim, 36, mother of four, in Moza Gharyal threw acid on Sadaqat, 24, who rejected her marriage proposal. Shamim was arrested who confessed her crime. Report says the two were having affair for over a year. Shamim told police that Sadaqat promised to marry me after i get divorce from my husband and leave my four children with him. She said we were arguing for over a month and his constant refusal to marry me infuriated me as a result of which I threw acid on him. Sadqat's brother brother denied Shamim's allegations and said Sadaqat was engaged to his cousin and was going to get married after Eid. He added that his brother was a shy boy and used to avoid ladies.

Majority Of The Online Users Get News From Facebook, Twitter Youtube and Other Social Media Plateforms

Social media has emerged as a leading source for news among online users who access it through their smartphones and a thinktank has warned that the embrace of free news is becoming becoming a challenge for publishers of quality news. More than half of the online users get their news from Facebook and other social media platforms,refusing to pay for news and using ad-blocking which hurts publishers' revenue. Although free news distribution creates an opportunity to reach more readers. However, it becomes more difficult for publishers to get recognized and connect with their audience. Facebook is playing an increasingly significant role in distributing online news. Forty-four percent of the people are using Facebook as their source of news, followed by 19 of the people using You Tube and 10 percent are getting news from Twitter. In developing countries where access to independent and reliable news is limited, there are even more people who rely on social media for news. In Asian and African countries many people are using mobile phones to get their online news and in those regions social media is even more important a source of news. For the first time social media has overtaken television a main source of news for 18 t0 24 years old, with 28 percent of them citing social media as their main source of news compared to 24 percent who say they watch television for news. More than half of the respondents during this survey said they were using smartphones to access news, with highest levels in Sweden (69 percent), Korea (66 percent ), and Switzerland 61 percent. In the Britain and the USA the use of smartphones to access news has overtaken for the first time computers and laptops.

Toyota Camry Car Owner Woman Is Begging In Saudi Arabia (Video)

A woman who owns Toyota Camry car was caught on camera while begging for money in Saudi Arabia. A man who was visiting the mall used his mobile phone to film the woman as she finished begging near mall in capital Riyadh and headed towards her car. The newspaper, which carried the film, quoted the man as saying the woman got in to the passenger seat next to her driver.

Sharapova Appealed Against Two-Year Doping Ban

Russian Tennis Super star Sharapova has appealed to the court of Arbitration for Sport against her two-year doping ban. The 29-year-old tested positive for the controversial banned medication Meldonium duing January's Australian open. The ban announced by the International Tennis Federation is backdated to January 26, this year, when tested positive for the prohibited substance. In her appeal to CAS, Sharapova seeks annulment of the tribunal's decision to sanction her with a two year period of ineligibility further to an anti-doping rule violation. Ms Sharapova submits that the period of ineligibility should be eliminated or in the alternative, reduced. If her appeal is unsuccessful the five-time Grand Slam champion will miss the Olympic Gamed in Rio in August while the earliest Grand Slam she could next enter is French Open in August 2018. Sharapova blasted the ban as 'unfairly harsh' in a statement on her Facebook page. Meldonium was added to the world anti-doping WADA list on January 1. Sharapova said she has been using it for 10 years to help treat illness, a heart tissue and magnesium deficiency.
