Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch and Emma Watson have been named world's sexiest film stars accoding to new fan poll. Cumberbatch has beaten Tom Hiddleston, who played Loki in Marvel's Avengers, Henry Cavil and Ryan Gostling in the online poll of 50,000 fans, the Independent reported.
The poll which was conducted by Empire poll, was full of British talent, but saw the former "Harry Potter" star as the sole Brit woman in the top 10.
British actesses like Keira Knighley secured 17th position, Kate Beckinsale stood 19th on the list, Gemma Arterton was on 20th position, wheras, Emily Brunt finished 21st.
The 'Sherlock Holms' actor said that this poll result puts a bit of a spring in his step, as it is nice and enjoyable. Cumberbatch added that he finds it hysterically funny and weilds the result with massive smile.
The food items of any kind are exempted from sales and other taxes throughout the world, but govenment of Pakistan has increased 2 % sales tax on biscuits, chocolates, sweets, cakes and toffees. A famous Indian Saris designer Kapael Arora has claimed that actress Veena Malik does not pay Rs 0.6 million the price of 10 saris which she bought some months ago.
The designer said she bought 15 saris and promiseed to pay the price soon, she used the saris in different funtions and afterward returned five saris back and said she will pay the price of remaining saris, but up till now she did not pay a single penny for them. Arora said neither she is paying the price of saris nor she was attending his calls.
On other side Veena said this was a compaign of demaing her she does not know the man with name of Arora, nor his stylist purchased any saris from him.
Arora is too simple to the extent of foolishness. Veena never pays the price of clothes, dresses or make up items in cash but she is used to pay in "kinds". He can recover the money in kind not in cash and as mich as he wants till his Rs 600, 000 or may more are recovered. The Henley and Partners Visa Restrictions Index indicates Afghanistan ranks the worst in the world for visa free travel. While Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal made it to the list of worst passports to travel, in the recent study.
The global ranking of the countries based on the freedom of travel to their citizens, saw Finland, Sweden and the United Kingdom emerge as the world's most coveted passports, with the least nimber of restrictions imposed on its holders with score of 173. This simply means that holders of passprts of the above mentioned three countries can travel to 173 countries without visa restrictions.
The UAE gained eight ranks from the previous year (56th) and is the second best country in the Arab World for affording visa-free travel to its citizens, after the 52nd ranked Kuwait. While Kuwaitis can travel visa-free to 77 countries. Emiratis can do so to 72 countries across the world.
India is ranked at No 74, and improved its position by six slots since last year's ranking, with Indians allowed to travel visa-free to 52 countries. Pakistan, Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan remained in the bottom four places of the ranking, which means the citizens of these countries enjoy the leasst freedom of travel.
Based on the numbers, Afghani citizen can travel visa-free merely to 28 countries, while Iraqis to 31, and Pakistani ans Somali citizen can travel visa-free each to 32 contries. The sub-continent was not spared, with Nepal coming on fifth worst passport in thw world with a scorecard of 37, Sri Lanka came in as sixth sharing the spot with Kosovo, Lebanon and Sudan with scorecard of 38.
Despite its recent political turmoil, both Libyan and Syrian passports fard well than their sub-continent conterparts with a score of 39, rank of 87 out of 93 countries listed.
Meanwhile, passing with flying colours as the seconds best travel passports were Germany, the USA, Denmark and Luxemburg, all coming in with score of 172.
The Pakistanis outside do not accept this ranking and say it is unfair to Pakistani passport holders, especially in the lieu of state of world affairs whereby several countries such as Iran and Myanmar have many more santions imposed on them by world authorities but still they rank better than us.
The railway ministry has sent a summary to prime minister for ending the $12 billion agreement with China as the locomotives and bogies imported from China are sub-standard. This summary has been sent for the third prime minter as the summaries sent to the former PMs Yousuf Gilani and Psarvez Asharf were not not ccepted. The former railway minister Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour had been insisting to make the deal successful in his tenure and he had ordered to pay $ 10 million as advance to Chinese company inspite of the instruction of Standing committee for non payment.
The former PMs rejected the summasries of ending the deal because of the fear of minding of China that will affect the friendship between the both countries. After the revelation of scandal, Pakistan is already paying a fine of $ 150,000 daily to China Bank for not using the loan aince 2010. And by now Pakistan has paid a fine of tousands of dollars. While, Pakistan did not receive a single locomotive yet.
This is test case for the present government because China is pressurizing Pakistan to continue with the agreement inspite of corruption scandal.
