Mercy Petitions Of Convicted Taliban Have Been Rejected By President

President Mamnoon Hussain has rejected mercy petitions of eight convicted Taliban terrorists after the government lifted moratorium on death sentences. After the gory attack on Peshawar Army Public School that killed 148 innocent people including 137 schol children, government had to lift moratorium imposed on death penalty in the country. Following the government step, president rejected the mercy petitions which were pending in the presidency since 2012. The president rejected the mercy petitions by excercising the powers vested in him under constitutional provision. Following the rejection of these appeals, orders of execution have been passed onto various prisons for hanging the terrorists. That is very good decision of the government, when Taliban have no mercy even for our innocent children why should they be released to conduct another massacre.
