Hafeez Banned For Illegal Bowling Action By ICC
International Cricket Council has declared Pakistani all-rounder Muhammad Hafeez 's bowling action as illegal. ICC took the decision after all rounder failed the test on his action conducted at an ICC accredited center Loughborough, England. After ICC decision Hafeez can not bowl in any format of the game. It is pertinent to mention here that ICC has already declared Saeed Ajmal's bowling action illegal. Hafeez will be allowed to bowl in internationals again only after his action, post correction is reassessed by ICC. As per ICC regulations, former captain is allowed to bowl in domestic cricket. The ICC rules and regulations clearly state that a player who has been reassessed and cleared is reorted second time within two years of the date of commencement of first suspension, he or she will the receive minimum suspension of one year and can apply once more for reassessment after sitting out a year. The former captain had first been reported while playing for Lahore Lions during the Champion League T20, but that sanction did not apply to international cricket. He was reported again after the first test against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi in November. Just two months have left in start of World Cup 2015 and PCB has to finalize 15-member squad by January 7 next year. The PCB has announced 30 probables for the World Cup. After ICC ban Pakistan has been deprived one side of the player.
