Bare-legged Woman Walks On The Streets Of Kabul
A bare-legged woman was seen walking through the streets of Kabul went viral when was photographed by an Afghan journalist while the photos spread like fire along with debatable comments across the world via social media platforms. It is astonishing, of course, in Afghanistan where women folk even can not dare to come out of home without putting on shuttle-cock burqa what to speak of being bare-headed or bare-legged. Journalist Hayat Ensafi said he was shocked as it was first thing of its kind to see walking woman with mid-length in the capital city Kabul of Afghanistan, besides severe threats of Taliban insurgency and imposition of their theories of Islamic clothings. The woman was tried to be involved in short discussion by the journalist but the woman avoided completely to talking to him and quickly vanished from the scene. It is noteworthy to mention here that some Metropolitan areas of Afghanistan had experienced liberalisation during 60's and 70's when women wore quite modern and fashionable dresses including miniskirts. Bare-legged woman gained global attraction in the shape of comments and sharing wjen Ensafi shared it on social Website Facebook despite severe restrictions on Afghan women on clothing and lonely movement across the streets. Some commentators assuming the woman as 'prostitute' while some calling it as a 'protest walk'. However, popular theories claimed that she was protesting against social rebellion or she was distressed or possibly mentally ill. But why some one did not think she might be a foreigner belonging to some diplomatic mission.
