The government has speeded up arrangements to hang death penalty holders and it is likely hat 250 terrorists will be given death penalty in the first phase. Out of 250, 78 are high profile terrorists included in the list. Sources say that Muhammad Aqeel alias Dr Usman who was involved in GHQ attack will be executed death penalty very first. He was a fugitive of army medical core who later joined Taliban and planned GHQ attack. It is pertinent to mention here that in a meeting between Army Chief and prime minister after the barbaric attack on Peshawar school, COAS advised PM to implement death penalty immediately. Now the government has approved to hang the death penalty holders. The interior ministry has started work on death penalty as ministry will send mercy appeals of death penalty holders to president and on Tuesday president has rejected 17 appeals already. The whole procedure will take one week time and it is likely that within a week implementation on death penalty sentences will start. It is noteworthy that "Taliban will say they are seeking 'Janna (paradise) whether through suicide bombing and killing innocent people or being hanged."
