Black Magician Practices On The Rise In India
Recent incidents of killing in the name of superstitions show the dark side of Indian progressive society. All is being done in the name of bringing peace, harmony and prosperity to those involved. When all efforts fail to keep hope alive and life on steady keel, then a large number of people in India turn to black magic and superstitious practices for fixing quick solutions. The so-called curators 'Tantarik' or 'baba' (occult or black magic practitioners), claim to be able to resolve issues of marital discord, or health and financial problems. Not only do poor and uneducated fall victim to their claims but the educated and elite society do as well. Earlier this week in one of the West Bengal cities a beheaded dead body of an local Ayuvedric doctor was found near a temple with flowers, incese sticks and blood that made the foul play of black magic clear. Similarly a few months ago in Hyderabad police detained 14 black magicians accused of cheating people. Their clientele include distinguished personalities like politicians, sportsmen and housewives. In Maharashtra state last year a childless couple was arrested who killed five childrens on the direction of a magician who told them the woman will conceive with this practice. In another remote village of Bengal, a magician practiced to kiss and embrace women saying that they will be conceived with his acts, while he did not allow their men inside. Indians are already availing themselves of astrology, palm reading, numerology, tea leaf prophecies and thing like this and black magic makes these more worst. India is a country where traditions and customs are born out of blind faith in the name of 'Bhagwan'.
