The resident of Lucknow India, 22 years Ponam Yadov belongs to class 2 artists. She was the finalist in the "Ga Ma Pa" reality show during 2007. Her life story is quite dramatic that helped her getting rid of grip of poverty.
Ponam belongs to very poor family. Her mother earned living by working in wealthiest houses. Her father died when she was small. She was fond of singing from childhood. She used to work in different offices to earn money to pay fee for music school. In 2007, suddenly the locked door of her fortune opened when she succeeded in audition of reality show Ga Ma Pa and then she reached to the final of the contest.
Participating in a famous reality show she became a familiar face in India and specially in Lucknow. Therefore, inspite of dropping in the show her fame did not fade. Now a days she is earning Indian Rupees 300000-500000 per month through singing in the state government's and private functions. She has a beautiful bungalow in Lucknow and proving all the life facilities to her mother.
However, fame brought some worries too for her in 2009 when she tried to commit suicide. Rumour spreaded that she was pregnant and had relations with music director Ismail Darbar. Though they both refuted the news but Ponam popularity graph came down as a singer. Now she looks tired of life of this style and remembers the days when she could roam freely in the city.
