Ever-Lasting Impacts Of 2011 On The World
*---- Southern Sudan_--- A New Entity On The World Map
Souhern Sudan became an independent country on July 09, 2011, after separation from Sudan, a largest country in Africa and in the Islamic World, geographically. The people of Southern Sudan after declaration as an independent country celebrated the day in capital of new state Joya with pomp and show. On the eve local radio continue to broadcast the national anthem of South Sudan. Ninety-nine percent of the voters residing in Southern Sudan favored, in the referendum, separation from Sudan. The consensus taking place in the last January was a part of the agreement aiming at ending the civil war continued for the last two decades. The civil war that was between the Christians and Muslims living in Southern Sudan took the lives of 1.5 million people and also made 2.5 homeless. THe newly created country is rich in the wealth of oil reserves. The president of Sudan Umr ul Bashir fully favored Southern Sudan and expressed good wishes for the new state. He clearly stated that brotherly relations totally depend upon the respect of the safe borders and non interference in each other affairs from both sides.
*----- The Leader of Anti-Corruption Move In India--- Ana Hazare
Impressed by Ghandi's teachings, a social worker Kushan Babu Rao Hazare who initiated a movement against corruption worried the corrupt politician as well as Indian government.To make his move more effective, Ana started fasting (hunger strike)in Dehli on April 05 for indefinite period. Former police officer Kiran Baidi and many other social workers joined his movement. He continue his fasting till the "Jin Lok Pal' bill is approved by the parliament against the culminatoin of corruption. He demanded that bill must encircle prime minister, judiciary and CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation). The bill was introduced for the first time in the Lok Sabha by Shanti Bhoshan in 1968. However, bill could not be passed as law. The present ruler Congress Party promised in its manifesto in 2004 to approve the bill but it failed to fulfill the promise.On April 08, government promised to accept Ana's demands and he ended his hunger strike. Government constituted a committee to formulate the line of action for the bill but members could not agree on some points.
Federal cabinet approved the draft of Lok Pal bill on July 28 but prime minister, judiciary and CBI were out of the jurisdiction of the bill. However, the approved bill is not according to the expectations of Ana Hazare. He warned the government again on December 14 that if a strong Lok Pal bill is not approved by the parliament in its present session, he will go on strike.
