Pakistan -Born Cricket Players In Various Teams Of The World
It is appreciable that that Pakistani Bowlers and Batmen have been recognized by other countries too other than Pakistan.Therefore, in the current World Cup Matches, the best cricket team of South Africa has one important member as bowler who is Pakistan born. Similarly, in Dutch and Canadian teams too have there are two Pakistan born players. These players include, Imran Tahir ( South Africa); Rizwan Cheema, Khurram Chuhan and Hamza Tariq (Canada); and Adeel Raja and Muddasir Bukhari are playing for Holland. Among these Imran Tahir remained prominent, he showed best performance got 4 wickets in his first match against West Indies during World Cup. Thirty two years old Imran Tahir the league break bowler is actually the "tourist" of the cricket world.He started his first class cricket during 1996 in Lahore and showed nice performance but could not find place in Pakistan's National Cricket Team.He left for Britian and was linked to three or four counties. Then he went to South Africa and played first class cricket.He has taken 547 wickets so far that shows his status at par with Abdul Qadir and Mushtaq Ahmad as bowler. When he joined National cricket team of South Africa,no body was astonished. Grahan Smith trust this bowler very much and Tahir also never disappointed him. During matches with Holland and England his performance was noteworthy in addition to his game against West Indies.In the first match he got 3 wickets for 18 runs in 7 overs. Other Pakistasn -born player in Canadian team is 32 year vice captain and all rounder Rizwan Cheema. In a warm up match before World cup against Britain he scored 93 runs on 71 balls and Britain won match by 17 runs only.
