Pak-PM and President Invited By Indian PM To Semi-Final Cricket Match
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday invited President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to watch the India-Pakistan World Cup semi-final in Mohali on March 30, officials said. The formal invites are reportedly being prepared for what is seen to be as initiation of cricket diplomacy to boost ties between the two countries. India on Thursday beat Australia in the quarter finals to set up a dream clash with Pakistan in the semi final to be played in Mohali on March 30. India has also issued about 5,000 visas to Pakistani spectators to be able to witness the clash between arch rivals. Meanwhile, the frenzy over a heady World Cup semi-final clash between historical rivals India and Pakistan next Wednesday entered cyberspace with cricket fans calling it the "mother of all matches".
India takes steps like this off and on to make Pakistan to forget Kashmir issue and to show the world its goodwill gesture for Pakistan. Whether these are cultural troupe, film stars, singers exchange or ways and means for trade between the two countries. But, Kashmir that it calls its "Unbreakable Part" be forgotton by Pakistani rulers though Pakistani masses can not forget brutalities and daioly killings of innocent Kashmiris.
