Shining Pakistan In Guinness Book Of World Record
Unfortunately now a days Pakistan's identity is as a non-peaceful, place of terrorism, corruption and worst governance in the country. But there are some young men, events and things of Pakistan that got their place in the Guinness Book of world Record. These are as follows:-
Picture Of A Pakistani On the Title Page of the World Record Book:- The picture of Alam Channa, the tallest man of the world had been published on the title page of 1983 edition of the book for a long time. This was the first time that any Guinness book had any Pakistani's picture on the tile page.
The Largest Whale of the World:- On November 11,1949, a whale was found in Baba Island near Karachi that was 41.5 feet long and 23 feet wide.Its weight was between 15-20 tonnes. It is the largest whale ever found in the world according to the 1988 edition of the record book.
Hashim Khan:- In the final of British Open Squash Tournament that was was played Lansdowne Club during April, 1958, Hashim Khan defeated his younger brother Azam Khan by 9/7, 6/9, 9/6/ and 9.7. While Hashim Khan was defeated by Roshan kHan in the previous year's match. This was Hahim Khan's 7th success in this tournament. This 7th success made a world record in the British Open Squash Tournament and Hashim Khan was the first Pakistani who's name was included in the Guinness Book of World Record.
