"From MTv To Makka"---- Christina Baker---2

Christina Baker the converted Muslima, wrote in her book " from MTv to Makka" that she was very much impressed by the Sufi poets Bulhay Shah and Jalal ud Din Roomi. Therefore, she was more inclined towards Sufism and Spiritualism. Afterward she recited Quran e Hakeem and its universal message, logical and scientific statements and arguments, and clear style of narration impressed and fascinated her.
During 1992,she saw quite a different world when she visited some of the Eastern Muslim countries. She wrote in her book, " I was greatly impressed by Sufi music of these countries. The Mughal art of architecture and buildings decorated with Muslim arts left long lasting impacts on me. I like Islamic art and beautiful designs of the Muslim architecture. I like the Sayings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa Ahmad Mujtaba (PBUH) very much that Allah is beautiful and likes beauty. I met with the inhabitants of these countries. Though they were poor but has smiling faces and shining eyes.
She further wrote that "I embraced Islam in 1995. I faced severe negative reaction on the issue. People are prejudice about Islam and have least knowledge of the religion and they wrong thinkings about Islam. It seems like Germany is suffering from Islam phobia (fear and hatred about Islam). However, In London people do not usually interrupt others private life. It is necessary that Islam's true image and message be conveyed to them and the real picture of Islam may be presented before them.
Christina says i had to quit the job in Mtv during 1996 and started my career afresh. I was honored by Allah to go to Haj in 2006. This was a journey full of spiritualism that is an asset of my life. This was a sacred scene to see the people from different nations, of different colors and creeds speaking different languages without any discrimination were present before Allah in a similar dress (Ahram). A king or a ruler of a country would be present in a line (Saf) along a common man Before Allah the Almighty. One realizes there that nothing is valuable than deeds and intentions.
I have studied Islam for nearly 14 years in London University and personally. The religious scholars who impressed me include Martin Lings, Dr Syed Hussain, Gai Aiten, En Merry Shimel, Dr Zaki Badawi, Murad Huffman, and Muhammad Asad. I have met several among them and learnt a lot about Islam.
Islam is a religion of mutual harmony and peace and religion can not be imposed by force. Religion is a private matter in Europe and state has no concern with it. Muslims are deeply rooted in Europe and Britain and are playing a positive role in the society as people of other religions do. I understand that Muslims must learn German language to become the active members of German society. I like that Muslim German Community in Germany must play its role in this regard.
In Europe people people give high importance unnecessarily to ordinary things like which dress to put on and which new fashion to be adopted so that they can impress others. While, in Islam every Muslim keeps a great purpose before him that he should do the deed that makes Allah happy and all other things are secondary and unimportant."'
Sister Christina Baker! We pray May My Allah Bless You with all His blessings Ameen.
