Three high ranking railway officers in grade 18 of divisional superintendent workshop Lahore Nasir Khalili, Sajid, Raja Sajid Bashir and Ishaq Amir Butt, invited a lady officer in grade 17 to a party and being drunken gang raped her, when she tried to make noise she was termed mad was threatened to fire from service. The incharge officer of the department directed the accused officers to resolve the case privately through giving her huge amount of money to avoid defamation and trouble. When general manager railway operations Junaid Qureshi was contacted regarding the incident he said the investigations are underway yet.
When the other day the lady officer told her colleagues in the office and threatened the accused officers of legal action, they made the subordinates silent on the threat of discharging them from service. The influential personalities of the department offered the victimized lady and her family PKR 0.5 million to keep silent about the incident. The lady officer was compelled to accept the money due to fear of service risk. The family of the lady also conditioned to recruit one of her brother and a cousin in railways on which matter is still under consideration. Was it a repetition of earlier cases occurring in Pakistan of black mailing and accepting money?
