Dark Chocolate Full Of Flavanol Will Lower Your BP By 2-3 Points








A new study says that if coco dark chocolate full of chemical substance flavanol will lower blood pressure for a short period, if taken daily. After analysis of different data researcher found that people taking chocolate daily having flavanol will reduce their blood pressure by 2-3 points.
According to researcher though this reduction in BP is much less than that resulting with medication, however, this is equal to the that due to changing of diet or exercise. According to Dr Elizbeth Jackson it does not mean that people may take chocolate and leave exercise,
She further said that a little chocolate taking is not bad but should not be taken too much to increase calories resulting in gaining the weight.
Two sort of groups were compared in the study. One that who eat chocolate full of flavanol or take coco products continuously and the second group that take coco products having less flavanol. It is noteworthy that chemical substance flavanol isva also found in green tea, berries and red wine, in addition to dark chocolate. it also increases the production of nitric acid that loosens veins resulting in lowering the blood pressure.
According to American Heart Association an individual should have upper level of BP less than 120 and bottom must be less than this. Regarding study 856 normally healthy people were followed for 2 to 18 weeks, among them 429 participants took 3- 100 grams dark chocolate or coco daily that had 30 - 1000 mg favanol while, other group was included in the comparison who took chocolate having less flavanol or no flavanol at all. tHe result showed that those people who took chocolate full of full of flavanol had lowered BP regarding upper level to 2.8 and lower one was lessened by 2,2 points. Those who took flavanol free chocolate had no change in BP level. However, researchers warned that chocolate may not be taken as the only remedy for lowering Bp and should not be changed with exercise and healthy diet.
