London police disclosed that the leader of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) Dr Imran Farooq was killed on political basis because he wanted to start independent political career and killers did not want him to allow so. Scotland Yard has appealed the people to help in the investigation. According to media reports Scotland Yard said that many people were aware of his intentions and wanted to stop him to enter into independent politics. Scotland Yard has announced lbs 20000 for providing any information regarding the case.
According to online Dr Imran Farooq was making his political profile before being killed and he had many political wishes. During Juky 2010 Dr Imran Farooq had opened a page on social website Face book and many people contacted him on face book and welcomed his services. Police has said that many people know the murderer of Dr Imran Farooq but they are afraid to come to forefront. London Police has ensured the that the person providing information about the killer will be given full security.
