First Position Holder In BA From Punjab University Works As A Cook To Meet His Educational Expenses
Muhammad Mohsin Ali who got top position as a private candidate in BA exam from Punjab University obtaining 688 marks and setting a new record while the earlier highest marks secured by a candidate were 680 marks. Mohsin said he worked hard for the examination and to meet his financial expenses and to afford his 11 sisters and brothers, he had to work as baker (cook ) on a Tandor ( a man made furnace for cooking rotis (breads) till 12 at night. He said he wants to get admission in MA English but he can not afford the high expenditure. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has announced to bear his educational expenses by the Punjab government( an exemplary step of Shahbaz Sharif).
Pakistani poor youth is so intelligent, if they are given free education they can earn a good name for the nation as compared to burger generation. Another brilliant student Qayanoos Khan hailing from Azad Kashmir who collect trash to help his father during the day time, stood second in Azad Kashmir Board in intermediate exam.
Knowledge is not a heritage of wealthy people but it is the right of every Pakistani child. The poor intelligent children deserve more attention as they usually can not afford higher expenses of education and quit the school. But, for this an educated government is a must, because illiterate government does not care for education and what it cares is known to every body.
