Saudi Arabia Refused To Include Women In The Olympics Troupe
There are 2 months left for the opening of Olympics 2012 games in London, but International Olympic Committee could not find the solution to the refusal of inclusion of women in the Olympics. Saudi Arabia has refused to include women in its national Olympics troupe. In the London Olympics this will be the only troop that would not have women. The religious scholars are against the inclusion of women in public games saying that this is against Islamic teachings. The chairman of the Saudi Olympics committee Prince Nawaf said in an interview with a local newspaper that he was not in favor of sending women athletes to Olympics.
In the past Qatar and Brunei did not send women in the Olympics troupe, however, this time they are setting new tradition by sending women to Olympics. Chairman of the International Olympic committee Jacks Rogue said that he was hopeful about the Saudi women to take part in London Olympics. He further said though it was not an easy hob but he was talking to Saudi authorities and hope to find suitable solution to this issue. Meanwhile, the media reports say that non participation of Saudi women in Olympics is against the charter of the Olympics. The violation of the Olympics law may oust Saudi Arabia from Olympics. The international human rights organizations are pressurizing the Olympic committee to ban Saudi Arabia from participating in Olympics if it does not allow women to be included in the troupe. But Rogue said it was before time to consider banning Saudi Arabia's participation in the Olympics.
