New Battery Invented From Paper
As a proverb is commonly used ,"necessity is the mother of invention" so nature guides us usually for new inventions. Similarly, scientists thought of inventing new battery technology through using paper when they saw white ants. Yes, exactly, the tiny white ants taught the scientists to produce energy by eating woods.
It is noteworthy that white ant performs this phenomenon through naturally bestowed enzymation system.Actually, enzymes are the such proteins that bring changes in cells and molecules, swiftly with out being changed themselves. Keeping this phenomenon in view scientists have made a battery usable on small scale by using paper as fuel. The pieces of papers are put in the water having enzymes in it. This water breaks the paper molecules by chemical reactions that are having glucose constituents too. Through ionization the particles of different constituents in water get positive or negative electric charge after chemical reaction. A smaller electric current is produced in water. After filling the battery with this water, it starts producing current.A well known company of Japan had presented this unique battery in Eco-Products exhibition held in Tokyo last December. Scientists are looking forward for more progress in this regard regarding energy crisis.
Scientists have started experiment for obtaining energy on fruits, flowers and other things through ionization, after developing battery from waste or unusable papers. The battery called bio-cell has been prepared in the advance material laboratory of the Eco-Products company of Japan.
