Muslim India--- That Gave Rise To Industril Revolution In Britain
The progress and prosperity in western countries began with industrial revolution. It started in Britain and and continued from 1775 to 1850. This revolution gave birth to modern trade and industry that depends upon factories and machines. The economists say that after the making of animals as pet the industrial revolution was a great economic event that changed the path of human civilization. To start industrial revolution it was necessary to get answers to the following basic questions:-
Where the capital come from to make factories and machines and to to keep machines running continuously?
How to find raw material to manufacture cheaper products?
Where should be the markets where to sell manufactured goods and to get high profits?
How to promote technology to develop new machines that make the working easy and fast?
The country that could get the answers to these questions the industrial revolution could occur immediately. During the mid of 18th one country could get the answer to these questions and that was "Britain" and the answer was "Muslim India"
At that time Muslim India was the richest country after China, its GDP was 25 % of global economy while Britain had only 1.9 % GDP. Specially Muslim India was the king of textile sector. Its hand knitted beautiful and soft cloths were liked all over the world. When Briton cloth makers protested on the lack of sale of their cloths, therefore government banned Indian cloth in 1725.
During 18 th century Bengal was the richest province of India. Therefore, Mughal Emperor Aurang Zeb named it the "Paradise of the World" So armed with latest weapons of that age Bengal was the first target of greedy sight of the Britishers. On the basis of conspiracies and wealth the Britons made the aids of Nawab of Bengal ( Mir Jafer) and Bengali Indians join them. Therefore, the great Muslim leader Nawab Siraj ud Daula was defeated by Britishers. Thus, the dream of occupation of Bengal of Britons came true.
During the next 30 years, under the leadership of cruel Lord Clive, Britons looted one billion lbs from Bengal. They even did not exempt their informer the Muslim Taitor Mir Jafer and Ummi Chand and got all of their treasures They looted diamonds and jewels from richest and imposed heavy taxes on poor. They transfered all the looted wealth to Britain and spent this on inventing spinning machines, power looms, mechanical water wheel and other machines to be used in textile industry. All this was done between 1764 and 1785.
For getting raw material they started taxes in the form of confiscating raw cotton. Thus after gaining capital they found raw material. Now, they needed market for their industrial products and goods. Here, again they got it in Bengal and Muslim India. Britain's industrial products started reaching to free market of Bengal with out any duty and taxes. So, it was the Bengal that provided capital, raw material and market to Britishers.
