Pakistan Changes 14 Ambassadors








In a major reshuffle on Sunday, Pakistan government changed its envoys in 14 countries and asked three others to report back to Islamabad, sources said
The ambassadors who have been called back will be replaced with the new ones. The prime minister had approved the new envoys for three countries. A formal announcement about the new envoys will be made at the end of the current week.
New envoys will replace the existing ones in Russia, Germany, Brazil, Netherlands, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Chile, Serbia and Nepal.
Sources said Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit will replace Shahid Kamal in Germany while Mansoorul Haq will be the new ambassador of Pakistan in Egypt. Arshad Khosa will replace Alamgir Khan in Brazil while Irfan Yousaf Memon will be Pakistan’s envoy in Yemen. Khalid Durrani will be the new ambassador in place of Muhammad Aslam in Algeria. Mushtaq Ali Shah and Nasrullah Khan will be the new envoys in Tunisia and Nepal respectively. Ghulam Dastagir Khan will be High Commissioner of Pakistan in Kenya.
