Greece-- Once The Legendary Land

Greece has been the leader of the world with respect to knowledge, civilization and literature. The knowledge in the world has still the impacts of its scholars and learned persons. Today's literature roots back to the legends, tragedies of dramas and stories of great Greek writers. The heights of knowledge and literature indicates that Greece people once were well to do, if it has not been so, its philosophy,literature, drama and music would have not gained such a highest place in the history.
The Greece, where people used to go to make their future bright is facing hunger and poverty. Such a tragedic scenes can be seen in the streets and bazaars of Athens today that look strange in the background of Europe.
Greek people chose democracy for the country after getting rid of the dictatorship during 1974. But the country has been unstable since then, but it reached to the extreme the worst situation when bureaucracy hiding the actual economic condition of the country began to issue the report of "All is well". But the secret of this all is well came on the ground in the beginning of 2010. Government was confident that nation's treasury is full of dollars and Euros and people are satisfied with the government, therefore, government kept on spending luxuriously. Bureaucracy too kept on hiding the worst economic condition from the government but have been providing misleading figures to the European Union. When the actual position of the economy was disclosed it was known that the the GDP deficit of Greek is 13.6 percent that is is the highest in the world in volume. In addition, the rate of government loans was 120 percent that is another negative example in the world. The result was that Greek lost its trust of international community. Seeing this bad condition of the economy of Greek, IMF and Eurozone came forward to help Greek. and provided Euro 110 billion to Greek.
