Assassination Of Governor Punjab Will Have Far Reaching Negative Impacts For The PPP

The Assassination of a high profile figure of the Pakistani politics and the government is not a simple matter. This will go a long way negatively for the government and looks like a basic cause for the fall of the PPP. Though government has starting en-cashing this killing as it did for Ba Nazir's, by announcing 2 week mourning for the party and 3 days in the country. The killer who is the police man and was included in elite force that was deputed for the governor's security in Islamabad. He handed over himself to the police along with his arm while 6 other policemen were also arrested. Inquiry and investigation will be carried out. But, the murderer has already confessed the killing. He said that governor had called the blasphemy law a "black law" and he had planned 3 days ahead to kill Salman Tasir. I think he is proud of his deed as the suicide bombers are. This attack was just like suicide bombing, he already knew about his fate as. Religious leaders are though condemning the killing but as Maulana Fazal ur Rahman said from Medina Munawwara that Governor's statement about calling the blasphemy law a black law was not fair. He also said that Salman Tasir was favouring Amina Bibi who has been sentenced to death under the law.
Actually what political scenario looks like is the religious parties who are together on one plate farm on the Issue of Namoose Risalat, will never be in favor and will not tolerate Malik Mumtaz Qadri's sentence in this regard. They will constitute a movement as has been done on many occasions like this that may be named as " Save Qadri Movement". Processions will be taken out, protests will be launched and then what would be the result of procession; tear gas shelling and aerial firing by police and a blazing of shops , markets, buses by the protesters. A worst law and order situation will force the third power to take over or dissolution of assemblies , re-elections, care taker government any thing may happen. This was a religious movement that paved the way for military regime to take over during 1977 and General Zia Ul Haq imposed the martial law. The quitting of JUI or MQM was not major set back for PPP, but the assassination of Salman Tasir will do all that could not be done by Fazl Ur Rahman or Altaf Hussain. May Allah Save My Lovely Pakistan.
