When the Face book was founded 7 years ago, there were a few members but today more than 0.55 Billion people are the part of this great social network. Every twelfth person of the population of globe is the member of face book. These millions of people speak 75 languages and they spend 700 billion minutes every month on visiting the website. A marvelous social revolution has occurred in the world due to the facebook. Is not it strange that one website has changed the 12th of the world population into a grand family. This family, if considered a country then it will be third big country of the world after China and India. The million of people belonging to different cultures and traditions taste new social contacts. They can meet electronically in a moment. Face book has proved to be a plate farm for people with good intentions. Today half of the Americans are members of face book, but its 75% male and female users are foreigners. This social network is now a such a fact that one can say we have entered into the age of Face book. According to latest statistics every minute brings new dimensions of social contacts. Every minute 17.9 million actions are performed, 0.51 million comments are written, 0.38 mn posts are liked, 0.31 mn messages are sent, 1.36 mn pictures are added, 98604 new friends are added, 82557 status are up dated, 79346 wall are posted, 72816 pages are liked, and 55304 links are shared every minute on the Face book.
Iceland is is country where 86 % of the people are the members of facebook and their number is 265420. After that follow the USA, Australia, America, Norway, Sweden and Canada, respectively. In the Islamic countries UAE is on top where 60-90 % of the people have facebook account. According to population USA is on the top. Nearly 150 mn Americans are face book members. Then comes India where 20 mn people use it, after this are Columbia, Brazil and Russia, respectively. Brazile has its own social website "Orkut" which is popular too and 20 mn Brazilian are its members while 4.2 mn Brazilian use Facebook.During 2006, facebook announced that every body who is above 13 years of age can sign up for facebook. If the progress of the increment of the member ship is continued, according to the experts the facebook will have one billion members by the end of 2012
